ZIM 2608 1917-1967

ZIM watch from 1967 with a picture of the battleship Aurora to commemorate the 50th birthday of the October revolution. 

The ship is widely known for the fact that it fired here guns as a signal for the start of the October revolution of 1917. The ship went out of service in 1957 and is now a floating museum in the harbour of St. Petersburg.

The Maslennikov Factory (ZIM, ЗИМ) was a defense enterprise in Samara that existed from 1911 to 2006. The factory produced parts of ammunition and civilian goods. The best known watches of the factory were the ZIM and Pobeda brands.
