POLJOT 2416 1917- 1967 

This Poljot is a mint piece from a badge of several watches which were meant for high political Soviet ranks. I think they were never officially issued because of the fact that these watches were found together in mint condition after such a long time. This one was meant for Alexey Antonovich Titarenko (1915-1992). He was the secretary of the CPU (1966-1982), member of the Politburo of the CPU (1966-1988) and was honored with the highest reward in the Soviet Union; Hero of socialistic Labour (1985). Only 20.613 people received the award between 1938-1991. This watch was also given to Yuri Gagarin at the time (see picture below of the auction brochure). The watch is on a NOS strap from that period in time. A nice piece of history
